Tyre language

On the sidewall of a tyre you will find various codes. These not only serve an important function for internal use at Vredestein, they also contain valuable information for you, the user. So what do the codes really mean? The list below finally dispels the mysteries of tyre language - and probably settles a few arguments in the process!

Commercial name of the tyre
Max. load 615 kg (1356 lbs) at 300 kPa (44psi) max. press Max. load capacity and pressure (does not apply in Europe)
M&S Mud and snow tyre. Ensures performance in mud, sand and fresh or melting snow. However for winter circumstances we advise tyres with a "three peak snowflake" symbol.
Three peak snowflake The symbol for a true winter tyre. Tyres marked with this symbol meet the requirements of special winter tests.
